About PlantMe
PlantMe is a plant identification and plant health app for iPhone and iPad, published by ZED UK Limited. Point your camera at a plant, a leaf or a flower and the app tells you what it is, what might be wrong with it, and what to do next.
What the app does
Identification runs on a model trained on a very wide slice of the plant world, and diagnosis works from the same single photo. The numbers behind it:
- 35,000+ plant classes recognised
- 93% top-3 identification accuracy
- 500+ plant diseases, pests and deficiencies
- 28 languages
- 4.4★ from 26,000+ ratings on the App Store
What the Journal is
The Journal is the free, open part of PlantMe: plant care guides, troubleshooting articles, seasonal calendars and vegetable growing advice, published on this site rather than inside the app. Alongside it sit the plant encyclopedia, the vegetable garden library and the plant problems library, all cross-linked so a symptom leads you to a plant and a plant leads you to a fix.
Journal articles are published in English, German, French, Brazilian Portuguese and Japanese. Localized versions are adapted for the local climate and growing calendar — the Brazilian edition follows Southern Hemisphere seasons, for example — rather than being word-for-word translations.
Who makes it
PlantMe is built and published by ZED UK Limited. The Journal is written and maintained by the PlantMe editorial team; our editorial policy explains how articles are produced, sourced and updated.
