The bird of paradise is a bold statement plant with enormous, paddle-shaped leaves that bring a tropical courtyard vibe indoors.
It needs the brightest room in your home and does best with some direct sun. In lower light it survives but leaves splitting and blooms are unlikely.

Leaves splitting along the edge
Natural in nature — it helps the plant survive wind. If undesired, keep humidity above 60% and avoid rough handling.
