Peace Lily
Spathiphyllum wallisii
The peace lily is one of the few houseplants that tolerates lower light and still blooms. Its glossy leaves and elegant white spathes make it a classic gift plant.
It is refreshingly honest about its needs: leaves droop dramatically when it's thirsty, then spring back within hours of watering.

Drooping leaves
Almost always thirsty. Water thoroughly and it should recover within a few hours.

Well-cared-for plants bloom once or twice a year, usually in spring.
Are peace lilies safe for cats?+
No. They contain calcium oxalate crystals that irritate the mouth and stomach if chewed.
Why are my peace lily flowers turning green?+
This is normal as the spathe ages. Cut the stem at the base once it fades.
